Summer Scrubbing Happens So FAST: Summertime Drillbrush Cleaning Ideas

Summer Scrubbing Happens So Fast with Drillbrush

Ah, summertime. Kicking back with a cold one and lounging in the lawn chair on a beautiful, sunny day. Now that’s the life!

But summertime isn’t all relaxation. Maintaining your home from the elements can eat up a lot of your fun in the sun. At Drillbrush, we offer drill-powered cleaning brushes that can help you speed through the cleaning and get back to the great outdoors!

Want ways to speed up your summer scrubbing? We’ve got 5 ways you use our line of premium drill-powered brushes around the house. From quicker car washing to poolside polishing, see how Drillbrush can change the way you clean!

Better At-Home Car Washing

Better At-Home Car Washing

Our Soft-bristled brushes can handle nearly every surface on a vehicle, like rims, glass, and interiors.

Sure, you could drive to the car wash and pay for a spray, but some of us have high standards for our vehicles and want them cleaned and polished to perfection. For the folks that like to break out the trusty bucket, sponge, and suds; Drillbrush can help you scrub vehicle surfaces in record time!

Our Soft White brushes are delicate enough to use on most vehicle surfaces, but tough enough to send dirt and debris packing. Our bullet-shaped Original-style brushes work wonders on tires and rims, while our flat 4 inch and 5 inch brushes can take care of windshields and side windows. And don’t forget a 2 inch detail brush for mirrors and touch-ups.

And while driving to the car wash cleans the outside quickly, the interior is still a lot of work. Luckily, the same brushes are great on vehicle interiors as well. The Original can pull deep-set salt and particles from carpeted floor mats, our wheel-shaped Edge brushes can get in the grooves and tracks of rubber mats, and our flat brushes can be used with a nice fabric cleaner to scrub away stains on upholstery, seats, and trunks.

How do we know that Drillbrush would be an asset to car owners looking to get the job done themselves? It’s literally why Drillbrush was invented! Self service car wash owner Anthony LaPolla wanted to create a less strenuous way to help customers detail their rims, so just a toilet wand and a drill bit later, the Drillbrush was born!

The only thing we do not recommend Drillbrush for on vehicles is the paint. Although Drillbrush has non-scratch nylon bristles, surface dirt can create microscratches on car paint at the high speeds a drill can reach.

An Easy Way to Care for Lawn Mowers

An Easy Way to Care for Lawn Mowers

An Ultra Stiff Black Original can be used to quickly clear out grass build-up from lawnmowers.

You care for your lawn. You should care for your lawn equipment too!

Summer means it’s time to mow your lawn. And depending on how much rain you get, you’ll be mowing it a lot! All that mowing means tons of grass build-up in your mower that can congeal together if there’s some moisture. It’s especially hard to get rid of if you have an electric mower, since they discourage using water to spray off components.

Drillbrush can be used to loosen up stuck-on grass clumps and free them from your mower. A method we suggest is to use a brush to knock out grass, and a leafblower to blast it away. This technique is great for electric mowers since it doesn’t use any liquid. But even if you lack a leafblower, a simple brush and wipe can get rid of thousands of blades of grass!

We recommend a Stiff or Ultra Stiff Original-style brush for this job, as the stiffer bristles can deal with particularly troublesome build-up, but a Medium brush can be used in a pinch to good effect.

Sprucing Up Siding, Decks, and Patios

Sprucing Up Siding, Decks, and Patios

Say “bye-bye” to bird bombs on decks and patios!

It happens all the time. Your lovely home exterior is tarnished by common outdoor messes. Lawn clippings, bird droppings, bugs and spiderwebs, mossy build-up in shaded areas, and other stray messes that mean less time enjoying your deck and a lot more time cleaning it up!

But you can take care of it in a fraction of the time with our line of Stiff Red Outdoor and Patio brushes. These brushes have stiff nylon bristles for scrubbing outdoor areas and tougher stains without scratching surfaces.

Red brushes are an excellent tool on wood, vinyl, plastic, and metal. Use an Original-style brush to get into gutters, shutters, and slats in siding. The large 5 inch flat brush can handle deck planks and walls, while the slightly smaller 4 inch can take care of patio furniture and chairs.

There are plenty of red brush kits out there! You can see which options have what you need for your home here.

Grill Cleaning Fit for a Grillmaster

Grill Cleaning Fit for a Grillmaster

Gristle gumming up your grill grates? There’s a brush for that!

Nothing says summer like a cookout! But after spending the day cooking burgers, hotdogs, and kebabs, your grill grates are going to be covered in burnt gristle.

But who wants to chisel away at it with a metal wire brush after a long event when you can just blast through tough foodstuff with our stiffest brushes; the Black Ultra Stiff.

These brushes use our same non-scratch nylon bristles, but have less give for difficult messes.

Use Drillbrush with your grill cleaner of choice to clean off grill grates and build-up under the hood. Our Original, Edge, and 4 inch brushes are perfect for getting them all cleaned up respectively!

Just be sure your grill surfaces are cool when using Drillbrush to clean up. While our nylon bristles are durable and can handle high speeds, a piping hot grill can melt the bristles and harm your brushes.

Use Medium Blue Brushes On the Lake or in Your Backyard

Use Medium Blue Brushes On the Lake or in Your Backyard

Clean off boats with ease using a flat Medium Blue Drillbrush.

Summer vacation means the kids are home from school (and itching for something to do!)

If you’ve got jungle gyms, outdoor playhouses, or kiddie pools, you can make sure they’re fresh and clean by giving them a nice scrub with a Drillbrush. Our Blue brushes are our designated outdoor Medium scrubbers and can clear off dirt from plastic and vinyl surfaces.

But Drillbrush can handle bigger fish. If your aboveground or inground pool needs a touch up, our Medium Blue bristled brushes can help! Scrub pool lining with ease using our 4 inch or 5 inch flat brushes to remove algae and dirt build-up. Your pool filter’s great, but it can’t catch it all. Especially if it sticks to the sides above the water line. Give it a hand with a Drillbrush!

And Drillbrush doesn’t just help clean kids' toys; Medium Blue brushes can handle boats, jetskis, kayaks, and anything you use for a fun day on the water! Flat brushes can scrub boat hulls, canoes, and floors while bullet-shaped brushes can clean around seats, winches, and antiskid surfaces.

Whether it’s in the yard, in the pool, or on the water, Drillbrush has all the tools you need for good clean summer fun!
