The Only 3 inch Scrubber for Mini Polishers - The New Drillbrush 3 inch Hook-and-Loop Auto Brush

Drillbrush has made 1 inch, 2 inch, 4 inch, and 5 inch brushes, but today Drillbrush is proud to announce our new 3 inch brush, the latest addition to the Drillbrush family of products.

But being a 3 inch brush isn’t what makes this new product special. The 3 inch is special because, unlike our 1/4 inch quickchange products, this new brush has a hook-and-loop mesh backing designed to fit on mini-polishers, further expanding what tools you can use to clean with a Drillbrush!

Not only is the 3 inch brush unique to the Drillbrush line, but it stands alone as the only available 3 inch brush for mini polishers, as currently no other company makes a brush like this.

Additionally, this brush is also one of the first to be created after a customer request, as our friends at Specialty Supply both suggested we produce a 3 inch brush and gave valuable feedback to improve the product.

3 inch Brush Specs

The 3 inch brush is 3 inches in diameter with 1 inch long nylon bristles and a hook-and-loop mesh backing.

The brush is 3 inches in diameter with 1 inch non-scratch nylon bristles on one side and a hook-and-loop mesh backing on the other.

The backing mesh can attach to other hook-and-loop surfaces, such as our 3 inch backer or the backing plate for certain mini polishers and other similar devices. It is extremely grippy and field-tested to make sure it stays stuck while being used in the polisher.

The block is white, but made of the same polypropylene material as our other drill-powered scrub brushes.

As of this writing the 3 inch brush only features Soft White bristles, which are used for cleaning delicate surfaces such as upholstery, carpet, glass, and wood surfaces, making it great for auto detailing and other home clean-up tasks.

How the 3 inch Brush Came To Be

The inception of the 3 inch brush began when Mark Weber, owner of Specialty Supply out of Meridian, Idaho, contacted us. He wanted to know if we sold a 3 inch hook-and-loop backed brush for polishers, as other brush brands he went through no longer carry that size and he couldn’t utilize the 4 inch options on the market for his business.

Seeing an opportunity to add a unique item to our line, we worked with Mark to come up with a 3 inch brush that meets the needs of auto detailers while maintaining the high quality Drillbrush is noted for.

We went back-and-forth with Mark over many months; developing prototypes, strengthening the hook-and-loop backing, and testing the brush out in the field until we were left with a result we are truly proud of!

3 inch Applications

The primary focus of the 3 inch brush is automotive scrubbing. Similar to all of our soft-bristled brushes, it is great for cleaning interior carpeting, car seat upholstery, floor mats, tire walls, and windows.

But the 3 inch brush has use beyond cars and trucks. It’s useful around the home as well! Our soft brushes are effective on hardwood floors, coffee tables, sofa upholstery, mirrors, area rugs, windows, doors, and more!

It’s also good for cleaning up certain pet-based messes. Soft White brushes are able to pull pet hair out of carpets and we even include a 3 inch in our Scrubby Doo Urine Remover kit for assisting in cleaning up accidents on carpets. 

Drillbrush and Polishers

The 3 inch Drillbrush fits any mini polisher with a 3 inch backing plate.

This is not Drillbrush’s first foray into polishers, but it is our first to utilize hook-and-loop meshing as a connection type.

The 3 inch brush can attach to any mini-polisher with a 3 inch backing plate. We have some options we suggest on our recommended drills page, but some examples of polishers the 3 inch brush can attach to are the Milwaukee M12 Variable speed Polisher, the Ryobi 18V ONE+ 3” Variable speed Polisher, and the Griots Garage GR3 Mini.

The Drillbrush line has built brushes for other types of polishers before as well. Our 5 inch Threaded brush featured a 5/16 x 24 bolted in shaft that allowed it to be screwed into oscillating polishers.

We also created the 7 inch industrial brush, a massive drill-powered brush with a 5/8 inch molded in 11-count threaded steel nut that can be attached to larger variable speed polishers and secured via two included set screws.

With the addition of the 3 inch, Drillbrush now produces brushes for three different styles of polisher machines and in three unique sizes to handle any sized job, greatly improving the way cleaners clean!  You can learn more about the different ways Drillbrush products connect to machines by reading our shaft guide.

3 inch Brush Single and Pet Kit

A 3 inch brush is included in the Scrubby Doo Urine Remover 3-piece Kit.

The 3 inch brush is sold in two forms on launch. The first is as a single, where you get just the 3 inch brush to attach to your variable speed polisher's hook-and-loop backer.

The other is as part of the Scrubby Doo Pet Urine Remover Kit, where it is paired up with a 1 quart bottle of Scrubby Doo Pet Urine Remover and a microfiber towel for easy spot clean-up and odor removal. 

We hope that as time goes on, we can add the 3 inch brush to more kits and bundles for even more ways to clean!
